Before you download

Back up important worlds. Confirm your Minecraft edition and version, then check the loader or add-on requirements. Java 1.21.1 NeoForge is still listed by the Java project, but the maintainer explicitly describes it as deprecated and buggy; the current main file is the Forge 1.20.1 build.

For Bedrock, open the selected CurseForge project and read its current setup notes. Different add-ons may require Beta APIs, packs or a remote service.

• Do not install a .jar in Bedrock.
• Do not rename a random archive to look like an official project file.
• Prefer the maintainer's project page or published CDN.
• Keep the published SHA-1 when available.

It does not replace normal device security or prove every behavior is harmless, but it can reveal an incomplete or substituted download.
